“Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint.”
— Mark Twain

There are so many conflicting health advisors out there–health magazines, newspaper articles, talk shows, internet sources, established medical institutions and even physicians.  Many have good intentions, some are too timid to recommend a different approach, some simply want to make money.  In this climate of direct to consumer advertising and reductions in healthcare expenditures, it behooves the individual to take charge of their own health and make informed, wise decisions.

As a physician with a background in physiology and internal medicine, I like to research current topics related to human health in an honest and ethical manner–hoping to empower  anyone reading this site to make an informed decision about their own health.  I have no financial bias or conflict of interest.
